Korri S. Weldon, B.S. - Genomic TechnologistMs. Weldon received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M University Ms. Weldon worked in the lab in the Veterinary Pathobiology Department where she became proficient in many histological protocols and the use of equipment. Prior to joining Oncopath Laboratory Ms. Weldon was the research core facility technologist for the Genomics Core Facility at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Ms. Weldon’s previous experience focused on the genomic evaluation of numerous diseases using many molecular techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, sequencing and length polymorphism analysis with the ABI 3100-Avant Genetic Analyzer, TaqMan assay genotyping and Real-Time PCR with the ABI 7900HT Sequence Detection System, and GoldenGate genotyping with the Illumina BeadXpress System. Ms. Weldon has several publications related to her laboratory efforts.
Hannah Little - Director of MarketingHannah Little serves as the Marketing Director for Oncopath Laboratory.
Ms. Little has been in healthcare marketing for more than ten years. Since graduating from Texas A&M University in 1999, Little has served in key healthcare marketing positions for some of San Antonio’s most prestigious healthcare institutions. She has served as Marketing Representative for South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers (STRIC) and Sales and Marketing Representative for the Nix Hospital in downtown San Antonio.
In 2005, Ms. Little joined the START Center for Cancer Care, which comprises a team of 30 world-class oncologists practicing at thirteen locations in San Antonio and across south Texas. The START Center also conducts the world’s largest Phase I clinical trials program for oncology with research facilities in Madrid, Spain and Shanghai, China. In the six years since joining The START Center, Little’s marketing expertise has contributed significantly to the growth of this state-of-the-art cancer center.
Diana Salazar - Client Service ManagerDiana Salazar a native Texan and San Antonian comes to Oncopath laboratory with over 12 years of customer service experience in the medical field. Prior to joining Oncopath laboratory Diana was a patient assistance specialist. She was responsible for enrolling patients in programs that provided assistance with chemotherapy drugs as well as involved with adjustments and posting/transferring of insurance and/or patient payments. As Client Service Manager, Diana acts as administrative liaison to other departments and offices, is responsible for the accessioning of all samples that are received and prepares daily sample retrievals. At the same time she assists in the process of financial transactions and the production and revision of lab documents; working closely with the Operations Director to ensure the progression on the laboratory’s work flow is fulfilled.
